Empyrean is a Mythical mutation of Kitsune that comes with a slightly changed moveset. The main differences appear in the M1 attacks, [Z] Sweeping Firestorm, and the transformed version of [C] Burstfire Cannon. 

After the Power Meter reaches 3 tails, the first three M1 attacks gain extra range similar to Dragon M1S. The fourth attack loses a bit of damage but gains a large AoE grab that pulls nearby enemies in. Because of these changes, Empyrean performs a little better than the normal version.

In its base form, [Z] Sweeping Firestorm fires a beam toward the cursor and can be held down to deal very serious damage. After transforming, the move gets a different animation compared to Kitsune’s [Z] Accursed Enchantment. The held version of [C] Burstfire Cannon also has its own special cutscene that is exclusive to the mutation.

For PvP, Empyrean is considered one of the strongest and most abused fruits in the game. Its [Z] Sweeping Firestorm can deal extremely serious damage and defeat players in fewer than two consecutive uses. 

Along with its already powerful moveset, this makes it one of the best choices for Bounty and Honor hunting, giving players many of the same advantages as Kitsune while offering even higher damage output.

Empyrean is also very effective for grinding in all three seas. It performs almost as well as Buddha in most situations, though it lacks the same level of versatility. 

Lower-level players may struggle with the mastery requirements needed to unlock all of its abilities. The physical version is also extremely rare, making it very hard to obtain for free.

How To Get Empyrean In Blox Fruit

To get Empyrean, players need to unlock it through special methods since it is a Mutation and not a regular fruit. There are a few different ways to obtain it.

One method was rolling it from the limited-time Winter 2025 Fruit Box, also known as the Galaxy Skin version. The Winter 2025 Fruit Box could also appear as a Premium Box in the Winter Gacha.

Players who already own Permanent Kitsune can buy Empyrean directly from the shop for R$ 2,000. Another way to get it was through the Fox Spirit Bundle released during the 2025 Christmas Event.

It can also be obtained through trading, since Empyrean is treated as a special item.

Empyrean Abilities And Movesets

Empyrean comes with 6 passive abilities, along with 6 moves in its normal form and another 6 moves in its transformed form.

Swift Tails (Passive) (Empyrean Tails)

The user can gain tails over time naturally or by dealing damage to enemies. Once the tail meter reaches 3 tails, transformation becomes available. When the meter is fully charged, it turns rainbow-colored, indicating that the user has reached the maximum number of tails.
The meter can also decrease if an ability misses its target. This includes the M1 attacks, although missing M1S removes less from the tail meter compared to other abilities.

Transformed Energy (Passive) (Empyrean Tails)

After transforming, the user slowly consumes one-third of the tail meter. The meter does not drain on its own, but it will gradually decrease whenever the user takes damage, including damage from water or lava.

While transformed, the user cannot passively gain tails. The only way to refill the meter is by dealing damage with Kitsune’s abilities, including tick damage from its attacks.

Tails (Passive) (Empyrean Tails)

When the user reaches 2 tails, they become much faster. Their movement speed doubles, dashes become quicker, and the character starts running on all fours. Walking, dashing, and air jumps also get special animations in this form.
At 3 tails, three glowing orbs appear around the user. Hitting enemies with the [F] move or M1 attacks applies red flame burn damage for 3 seconds. The burn effect deals damage once every second.
The fourth M1 attack also gets a slightly different look. On top of that, the first three M1 attacks gain extra range by sending flaming slashes forward. This effect is only available on Empyrean Kitsune.


Note: This passive does not directly increase the user’s normal damage.

Heavenly Fox Fur (Passive) 

While transformed, the user takes 20% less damage from all attacks. In this form, attacks become stronger, and cooldowns are shorter. The user also moves faster, can jump much higher than normal, and gains a longer dash distance.

Tread of the Highest Heaven (Passive)

While transformed, the user can run across water without sinking. However, they cannot stand still or stay idle on the water surface.

While transformed, another allied player can ride on the user by using the saddle on their back.

[TAP] Normal Attack

The user attacks by sending red flame slashes forward through the air. The fourth hit works differently, creating a spinning swipe that pulls nearby enemies together. This part has a wider range but deals less damage than the other hits.

The last attack also varies by position. If used on the ground, the user strikes downward, leaving a small crack for a moment. If used in the air, the user instead kicks the enemy to the ground. Both versions still deal the same damage.

When the user reaches 3 tails, these attacks gain extra effects. The slashes burn enemies with red flames for around 4 to 5 seconds and deal damage over time. The normal damage of the attacks also becomes stronger.

Every hit uses a small part of the Tails meter. Performing the full 5-hit combo removes around 7.5% of the visible meter. If the user jumps before the final hit or attacks while airborne, the ending attack becomes another slash instead of the slam animation.

The beam and the explosion both have separate damage, meaning both can hit enemies at the same time. The attack can also be aimed freely, but the beam moves fairly slowly.
